Welcome back, brides! Today we’re tackling part 2 of how to select your bridal hair accessory. Yesterday, we covered some ways to choose a hair piece to complement your gown. Today, we’re talking about hair styles, which obviously play a huge part in determining what type of hair accessory you choose and how you will wear it.
Hairstyles generally fall into three categories: updo, half up/half down, and down. Below are different types of accessories shown in a few hair styles. You can either decide how you want your hair first, then choose your hair accessory based on that, OR choose your hair accessory first and then experiment with ways to wear.
Updo
Crowns and individual components such as bobby pins or mini combs look great with updos. Halos can also work when tucked in, like our Penelope halo (far left) shown above. Crowns look regal and glamorous in an updo. Bobby pins or decorative combs can be scattered organically into your bun, or neatly arranged for a more orderly look.
Half up/Half down
Half up/Half down really works with everything - we love the looks shown above, especially far left with our Evelyn mini combs!
Down
Hair down gives the most casual and carefree look we make our halos specifically with these hairstyles in mind, because the halos are so comfortable and fit so effortlessly on loose curls or a blow out.
Stay tuned for part 3 tomorrow - we'll be discussing the different types of silhouettes that accessories come in and which is best suited for your needs!
